Wedding • Amanda & Mike • Ravisloe • Chicago

I've known Amanda for years now from the Chicago music scene. She's an amazing drummer. When she asked me if I'd be interested in photographing her wedding, she hyped up the venue as "a country club, but a really cool and interesting one". I would have been on board even if it was at an Arby's, but it turns out she was right about Ravisloe. It's an old venue off of the Dixie Highway in Homewood, IL. with a Hacienda design. A little taste of Mexico in our own backyard.

Wedding • Erin & Andy • The Kenilworth Club • Kenilworth, Il.

The Kenilworth Club is a masterpiece of Prairie Style Architecture in the Northern Chicago Suburbs. Erin and Andy were a great couple with lovely family and friends. My wife and I really enjoyed being a part of this wonderful event. The last photos are black and white Polaroids taken in an impromptu "Photo Booth" styled portrait session while Beep Media DJ John Londay rocked the house.

Wedding • Amanda & Shawn • The Marvel Davis Farm • Big Rock, IL.

I loved working this wedding over the 4th of July weekend. The ceremony was in the small town of Hinkley, IL. and the reception was at an amazing historic farm in Big Rock. Amanda and Shawn are both from farming families and all of the food served was home raised. I also loved the overall design of this wedding. Everything tastefully matched, from the flowers to the cake to the attire of the bridal party.

Wedding • Jena & Jason • Chicago's Little Lady Boat • Chicago

I had a blast getting to know Jena and Jason as I photographed this fun wedding a few weeks ago. We hung out at the Hyatt Regency, then walked around Wacker Drive for some portraits before heading down the street to board a boat. I loved photographing this ceremony on the Chicago River at about fifteen minutes past sunset with just a hint of remaining sunlight left. I spent most of the evening after the ceremony shooting the guests with my Polaroid 195 land camera and we displayed them as they were taken for the guests to enjoy.
